Healthwise Osteopathy was established in 2010 by Dr. Sarah Heathcote, the principal osteopath at the clinic. In June 2013 we relocated to new premises in Eltham with the Ridge Health and Wellbeing Centre. We have 5 treatment rooms used for multi-disciplinary purposes, including Osteopathy, Myotherapy and Massage. The clinic also offers Naturopathy and Psychology.
At Healthwise osteopathy we aim to provide the highest quality treatment in a friendly, professional environment.
Kid Friendly
We understand that it’s not always easy to find someone to take care of your kids while you are undergoing treatment so we’ve created the Children’s Treasure Chest. Filled with toys, stories, colouring books and more, it’s sure to keep your kids entertained while we help you feel better.
Is treatment covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance?
Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds (under extras cover) although coverage varies depending on the provider. Osteopathy can also be covered under the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme which entitles the patient to 5 treatments within a 12-month period. Contact your GP or Osteopath for more information
Fees
Most private health insurance companies offer extras cover for Osteopathic, Myotherapy and Massage treatments. At Healthwise Osteopathy we offer HICAPS, an electronic claims and payments system for patients with Osteopathic, Myotherapy and Massage cover. Simply present your health insurance card at the time of treatment and your benefit will be automatically deducted from the bill, you then only pay the balance.
