Dr. Sarah Heathcote
B. Applied Science, Masters of OsteopathyRegistered Osteopath
Dr. Sarah Heathcote graduated from RMIT University in 2008. She began her career at Body Osteopathy in Greensborough in 2009 before starting Healthwise Osteopathy in May 2010. The practice moved to its current Eltham location in May 2013 as part of the Ridge Health & Wellbeing Centre which Sarah owns and runs.
Sarah has a strong background in dance and sports which enables her to understand the pressures and injuries associated with many different types of sports. This understanding enables her to more easily assist with rehabilitation programs and sports modifications to enable her patients to return to sports as soon as possible while minimising the risk of re-injury.
Sarah also has a background in childcare, having worked in the industry for almost 10 years. Sarah is passionate about musculoskeletal health and care for children and enjoys treating babies and children. Her ability to relate well to children also makes her a favourite amongst younger patients who look forward to coming in for treatment.
Sarah regularly completes continuing professional development and is accredited by the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys scrapbooking, dance, travel and spending time with her family and dog, Josie. She is also a member of the NewGen Rotary Club, a non-profit service organisation. Sarah is also involved with the Rotary Action Group Against Child Slavery. She is also a keen rugby league fan and was thrilled to see her team, St George Illawarra Dragons win the 2010 Grand Final.
